Swan 60 Tsaar Peter, sits safely in the top 10 of Class IRC0 at the Giraglia Rolex Cup. After 3 days of St Tropez inshore racing a 9^th position is a strong result, pulling up places in the final race yesterday taking a 7th.

The team on board is represented by Saint Petersburg Yacht Club, Russia. A mix of both the Bronenosec racing team and the Gazprom Youth Sailing Challenge this team is tipped to covet some top results.

Recent 2015 Gazprom Swan 60 World Champions Igor Frolov and Marc Lagesse will race alongside 5 fresh faced Russian youths producing a unique combination. The new recruits to the Gazprom Youth Sailing Challenge were selected this month out of 100 candidates that applied during this year.

The Giraglia Rolex Cup will be for many of the crew their first ever regatta on the international stage. Sergey Borodinov, Evgeny Egorov and Viatcheslav Martynov will also join the team adding valuable skills afloat.

Following a spectacular Rolex crew party yesterday, Tsaar Peter will start the 243 nautical mile offshore race today from St Tropez to Genoa alongside a record fleet of 250 boats.
