The unspoilt Tuscan coast of Italy is home to one of the world’s leading vineyards, the Ornellaia Estate created in 1981. This stunning location hosted the Gazprom Swan 60 Owner’s Dinner yesterday evening.

Overlooking the Tyrrhenian Sea in the Northern Maremma between Livorno and the island of Elba, the vineyards stretch across 99 hectares. These are split into two adjacent areas across a coastal plain renowned for its natural beauty and separated by Bolgheri’s famed Cypress Avenue. The mild climate and rich soil coupled with the green Tuscan hills offer a unique environment to feed the vines.

Owners and friends enjoyed welcoming drinks outside in the unbroken Tuscan sunshine before trying 4 different wines at the tasting.

Guests were educated on the local art at the estate as well as Leonardo Ferragamo receiving a gift from Mr Salantera, President of the Finnish Sailing and Boating Federation.

Mr Salantera has very much enjoyed his first Gazprom Swan 60 event and especially the owner’s dinner, “the wine is excellent here in Tuscany what a lovely place”.

Synonymous with quality for more than twenty years the wines of Ornellaia are distributed across sixty countries.
