New to the Gazprom Swan 60 fleet for 2015 we have a team from Finland sailing Swan 60 SGM. Skippered by Samuli Salantera the team has a high profile within the Finnish yachting fraternity. President of the Finnish Sailing and Boating Federation and Commodore of the Yacht Club of Turku, Mr Salantera is an important entry in this year's 2015 Gazprom Swan 60 World Championship.

Thomas Hacklin has been appointed tactician for the Marina di Scarlino event and with his experience as Coaching Manager for the Finnish Federation he will mould the team into competitive style. Thomas proved himself on the international racing circuit across dinghies and yachts, with podium results in the Laser, Finn, 49er, Melges 24 and X-41 OD classes.

SGM also brings Finnish sailor Sauli Jankari to the Mediterranean who is champion for Finland in Laser team racing and Finnish / Estonian champion in ORC.

Mr Salantera has chosen to race as a father and son team discovering the Gazprom Swan 60 circuit together as well as inviting 3 youth members from the Yacht Club of Turku to share in the delights of big boat racing with ClubSwan.

The Yacht Club of Turku will be organising a special regatta during July 2016 to honour the 50^th anniversary of Nautor's Swan.

Adding to the Finnish national team, SGM's crew includes Nautor's Swan employees from the yard in Pietarsaari, Finland where the many different Swan yacht models are built and customised. It is fantastic that the craftsmen are also adept at sailing their beautiful yachts so carefully constructed and ensuring the owner has every enjoyment.
