Less than 100 miles to finish in Saint Petersburg

The Gazprom Swan 60 fleet has less than 100 miles to finish the 2015 Nord Stream Race in Saint Petersburg today. Averaging 11 knots of boat speed currently Spirit of Europe has a 9 mile lead over Bronenosec in 2nd.

The closest race at the moment is between Bronenosec and the Gazprom Youth Sailing Challenge on board Tsaar Peter in 3rd. Only 5 miles separate these two boats fighting for valuable points on the overall 2015 Gazprom Swan 60 circuit.

Newcomers from Spain, Petite Flamme, has kept up with the front running pack and sits comfortably in 4th place. Juan Calvo Boronat from the Royal Valencia Yacht Club has impressed the teams considering this is his first taste of the Swan 60.

Joachim Brünner has also performed a superb recovery after a pit stop in Rostock for repairs, SGM has passed Gotland and is now heading along the Estonian coast.
