Nord Stream Race

Starting on the 20 September this is the final event in the Gazprom Swan 60 Class series, racing 800nm non-stop to finish in Saint Petersburg at the heart of Russian yachting where the Saint Petersburg Yacht Club will host the overall 2015 prize giving.

The route passes Bornholm and Gotland following the Nord Stream gas pipeline, the eponym of the regatta. Depending on wind-strength and -direction the boats will arrive in Saint Petersburg between the 23^rd and the 25^th of September. Organiser of the top-class event is the Norddeutscher Regatta Verein together with Saint Petersburg Yacht Club in cooperation with Flensburger Segel-Club. The Nord Stream Race has been initiated in 2012 in order to connect the countries around the Baltic rim on a sporting level.
