Vladimir Liubomirov helming his Swan 60 Bronenosec took line honours on day three of the Maxi Yacht Rolex Cup entered in the Mini Maxi Racing/Cruising division.
Racing 23.5 nautical miles against seven other competitors, Bronenosec is moving consistently up the scoreboard going into the final two days of racing.
Bronenosec dented the previously perfect scoreline of the 79 foot Lupa of London with her first place from yesterday’s racing. Vladimir Liubomirov’s team racing for St Petersburg Yacht Club, Russia has managed to break their tie with @robas and now sit comfortably in 2nd place with 7 points.
The crews will all have a chance to rest and recover today with the official lay day before competition resumes. Bronenosec will need to work hard on the race course to close the 3 point gap with Lupa in order to retain their 1st overall from the previous edition of the Maxi Yacht Rolex Cup. This will be an important 2 days for the Gazprom Swan 60 racers who seek to defend their title from 2012.
