Swan 60 Windward is the first Swan ever sold to China. The performance oriented 60-footer was commissioned by a Chinese owner, Mr Fan, who will compete on the Gazprom Swan 60 Class circuit this summer, as well as cruise in the Mediterranean, before the Swan 60 heads to China later this year.

The new owner of Swan 60 Windward praised the team at Nautor: “Outstanding work, Windward looks fantastic and I am so thrilled. Nautor clearly testifies the highest standards of building that the yard is famous for – Windward is such a treasure. This is definitely going to be an unforgettable life experience!"

Windward raced as Team China in the Nord Stream Race 2014 Mr Fan's, Team China, finished a matter of miles behind Team Russia in second place, an outstanding result for the first ever entry. The new Swan 60 was launched just weeks before Nord Stream Race. Mr Fan commented on his first Swan 60 racing experience, “I am very proud with the result. It was a very interesting and meaningful experience; the organization is exceptional with a great mix of offshore and inshore legs. I particularly enjoyed the offshore element and would love for this to have never stopped. I enjoy bonding with the team and getting involved in the watch system. I tried a number of different roles on board during the race, from the bow to the stern and I really learned a lot. We now need to work to understand our jobs better on board before the next event, practice as a team does make perfect so we will be training hard together to find our ultimate synergy."

Windward finished third in the 2014 Gapzrom Swan 60 World Championship.
